Message from your Chaircouple
Time is growing short! Your Convention 2008 is only a few weeks off, and as it occurs over the July 4th weekend, hotel rooms may be hard to come by. Marilou and I urge you to promptly register for the Convention and make hotel reservations as soon as possible.
The host hotel for this year's event will again be The Historic Menger Hotel. Built in 1859, this beautiful structure has become an important part of San Antonio's history. The hotel is located downtown, immediately adjacent to both the Alamo and the Rivercenter Mall, and only a short walk to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
Important Note: The Historic Menger Hotel has agreed to abide by the rates it would have charged us for the normal Convention dates, and that rate is $115 per night.
To register for the Convention, mail the registration form and check made out to
"URDC - 32nd Convention"
Mail to: Jerry & Louise Engelking, 1751 Co. Rd. CC, Muleshoe, TX 79347
To register at the Menger Hotel, be sure to state that you are with the "Universal Round Dance Council" so the Menger staff will give you the correct rates, and credit URDC for the room nights. They have also been apprised of our name change to "International Choreographed Ballroom Dance Association."
Happy dancing, and see you in San Antonio!
